and sometimes you are

It does say only 77 posts against the members listing then when you open it it is Johns profile with nearly 2000 posts |

So it does! Maybe the exclamation mark isn't read by the forum software when it's in a link or something!
All I know is !John!'s got 77 posts, and John's got 1966 posts!

There is a !John! who is first on the list
and John who comes under J
Open them both up and it is the same John

It does not mean that John has two names but that there are two people named John and to distinguish between them one of them registered as !John!
BTW grateful we all are that there is not another Boddie, we get confused enough with the one we already have LOL. But we do love you really and would not be without you.

!John! is definitely a different member to John. There is simply a bad link on the members' list. Clicking on !John! should take you to the following;
