| | | Re: Why are you grumpy today? My sister has a long term illness - possibly ME but with complications , until recently thought that it might be MS - the doctor is as much use as Dr Nick Riviera off the simpsons (he has the best qualifications money can buy... $79 on ebay) I stay away from him in case I thump him.
I worry about my old dear looking after my sis - she isnt getting any younger.
On top of this I need to find a job near my sweetie (or she needs to find one near me) - I thought this would be easy but it aint, and we're getting married in march. 8 rejection letters in the last month
my sweetheart lives over 300 miles away and the govt is letting the price of fuel go silly without doing anything to improve public transport plus we have the various fuel shortages this year
when we do get married how are we going to buy a house with the credit crunch / recession bearing down.
too much work, not enough time, never enough money etc
on top of which i've just had food poisoning which laid me up for four days
As you can see i'm a little bit stressed , this is why i'm not on the boards much anymore as i'm too likely to blow my stack under provocation which isnt good for the site, for me , or for whatever unfortunate gets himself eeyored

Hi Forfi .. not sure if this would have worked in that instance, but when I'm out and about with my camera and have forgotten (or can't be bothered to carry!) binnies, I take a snap of whatever it is, then zoom into it either on the camera there and then, or back home when I've downloaded it on my pc ... this works quite well with birds, but not sure about them fish! | | | Re: Why are you grumpy today? Really feel for you, Eeyore .. know what it's like being so far away from your loved one .. I met my lovely OH on another (respectable!) internet forum a couple of years ago and we used to travel to see each other every few weeks or so .. not quite so far as you - I was in Sussex and he was in Northampton, but it was a good 4 hour journey on the train. I eventually moved up to Northampton, but it has all been pretty stressful .... *plus* you have all that other stuff on top of that to deal with .. no wonder you're feeling like you are! I'm sure, if you do end up 'blowing your stack' on here, everyone will understand ... they seem a friendly bunch! Look forward to reading more of your posts when you're feeling up to it
p.s. I know I shouldn't, but did have a little laugh at the '8 rejection letters' after saying you were getting married ... it sounded like you'd had 8 marriage proposal rejections |

| | | Re: Why are you grumpy today? Not particularly grumpy as such just a bit sad as my gran is not looking to good, she has to go for a heart x-ray tomorrow as she has been really under the weather but being 98 I suppose it's to be expected.
It's her 99th birthday on the 15th of August and my mum and dad are going to see her for a week but I'm not sure that they will see her alive again, fingers crossed she will be alright but things don't look good.
She still lives in her house and is very independent for her age but I fear the worst, It doesn't help that she lives about 400 miles from us. |

Tracey | Thanks Tracey,
As it happens she actually lives in Fife, she had the X-Ray this morning but won't find out any results for another 10 days but my mum spoke to her on the phone earlier and she sounded a lot better so fingers crossed she will be alright.
Thanks also djackso for your best wishes. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
