| | | Re: Favourite footwear. Once I would've said my fancy North Face gore-tex trainers, but summer 2007 I bought some fancy walking sandals for my hols to Norway and they've proved to be a revelation. They are just so versatile. I foolishly once thought blokes' sandals were for hippies and/or vegetarians, but now I'm a convert (no offence to hippies and/or vegetarians ).

I like my walking boots as they are about 8 years old and like a pair of slippers. Not looking forward to getting a new pair.

| | | Re: Favourite footwear. If we're talking footwear when out and about it'll be my walking shoes I got from Land's End (the shop) 4 years ago. They still look as good as new and as comfy as ever. The only thing they've needed is some new laces last year.
Other than that it's gotta be my slippers! I just love slippers and wear them as much as pos, even drive in them to pick my hubby up from work
I buy new ones every couple of months and at the moment they're grey with pink, yellow, blue, green, red and purple spots all over them and a big pink bow!
I've also got some which are knee high blue furry ones but it's a bit hot for them at the mo. I love 'em!

| | | Re: Favourite footwear. For country walking it has to be my new(ish) ecco gortex boots ... (mmm almost as comfy as my preferred converse trainers) .. but .. after pouring water out of them on sunday (they're still drying out!) I realise that when I'm standing in water trying to get better shots of dragonflies I actually do need a pair of wellies! |

ellen | I remember 2 year ago we went on holiday to cypruss and I suffer from arthritis can be bad in my feet which it is again at the moment, I had such a bad flare up I had to wear my slippers from from hotel to home because my feet had swollen so much and they were the only footwear that I could get on. I did get a few odd looks but I was so glad that I did take them with me. So never leave the country without your blue fluffies shei.
