| | | Dead creatures Hi All
Today not only did I find a dead Mole but also a dead Grass Snake. If it wasn't for seeing Foxes in the open without a care in the world it would have been an extremely sad day. I came upon the foxes first thing on my trip (by batterycar) around Ferry Meadows so I suppose the deaths were to stop me being too pleased with life.

| | We recently came across a mumified frog in the garden (it was fully stretched and my husband actually thought it was plastic). I must admit too wildone, I am somewhat concerned by the lack of Hedgehog evidence, let alone sightings. In addition, even on shrubs known to attract butterflies, there is no sign of life. I've been to a couple of nurseries lately, where you might expect to find Red Admiral, peacocks etc. but there was nothing visible. What is happening? With a warmer climate, they should in theory overwinter successfully. Are those that migrate to the UK ceasing to do so? Where are they? |

| | | Pleased With Life Never feel you are being punished for enjoying yourself (as long as it is not at other peoples expense)
I frequently come across dead creatures and if you look around quite often you will see the perpetrater, that you may have disturbed, waiting to claim a meal
The journey to work is always a butchers shop of road kills so that i only wonder
how i could redistribute the bounty before it is ground into the tarmac
Dehydrated frogs seem to be a feature of my garden i do not know what kills them or delays them away from their damp dens (my cat ignores them) but the head of frogs never seem to decrease, they all look plump and healthy | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
