| | | What's this bone from? I found this bone next to a river in Glen Lyon, Perthshire. Can anyone give any idea from what it came from?

Some part of a sheep's skeleton had crossed my mind but I couldn't make up my mind, or work out, which bit.
I'm not convinced of hip bone tho, it's hard to see by photo but the two larger ends are pointing in different directions, one down (towards to table) and one up (towards the table) and the two smaller ends seem to be two separate bits, as opposed to one broken.
It's certainly very intriguing

| | | Re: What's this bone from? it looks like a ball and socket joint, which would suggest shoulder\hip to me. with teh amount of bone around the joint as well, it seems more likely to be a hip... As for the size, maybe a (big) Rabbit or cat or small Fox? Seems a bit small for a sheep?
Where are the vets when you need them?
