Senior Moments

Having lost the spare set of batteries and the charger, yesterday I bought a packet of aa batteries to use in my camera. Today, wanting to take pictures of a little bee I couldnt find the darn things. I searched high and low for them. Even phoned my mother to see if I had left them with her and my sister to see if they had fallen into her shopping... nope.. no luck.. so I searched again.. even checked the bin bags.. the freezer and the fridge.. so where the heck were they. I had to go lie down, the stress was too much

Some time later going to the fridge they leapt out at me. Where were they the first time I looked in there? Did they hide because they knew I was looking for them... or am I guilty of the old 'open the door, nothing waving flags' fault.

My hubby went to replace the battery in my watch. He dropped the battery days ago and still cannot find it.
We had to go and buy a new one

I found Chris with a log in her hand and the fridge door open...

Garden Carpet there was a book published in the 70's I think called Probability A it explains it all....... Its a SiFi theory anyway. Sorry I can't remember the author.

It could have been worse - put the batteries in the fridge and the butter in the camera.

Don't worry Jaki. If you are anything like me every film repeat on TV is a new showing as I can't remember seeing it before.

does that apply to birds too, if so that must make your life list difficult to compile

I'll have to show the wife this thread as she thinks I'm loosing the plot.
It's getting bad when you go to the fridge for a beer and come back with an empty glass.
Just glad that this is a common problem with us seniors.

I must confess that I am not sure about this "senior moment" title. I seem to have been a little yonderly all my life. I have always quite enjoyed it, too!

MM it is a good reason to give when you get something wrong.. some of us seniors have been doing it since they were in their 40s... and i am only in my fifties now.

I once went to the bathroom.. in need.. was distracted by the towels I had dumped on the dresser.. folded them and stood in the middle of the room wondering what I had gone in there for.... 40 minutes later I remembered!!!!

NEW VIRUS
Just got this in from a reliable source. It seems there is a virus called the 'Senile Virus' that even the most advanced programs of Norton and McAfee cannot take care of it. So be warned. The virus appears to affect those of us who were born before 1961!

Symptoms of the Senile Virus:

1. Causes you to send the same e-mail twice.
2. Causes you to send blank e-mail.
3. Causes you to send e-mail to the wrong person.
4. Causes you to send e-mail back to the person who sent it to you.
5. Causes you to forget to attach attachments.
6. Causes you to hit 'SEND' before you've finished the e-mail.

God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Now that I'm 'older' (but refuse to grow up), here's what I've discovered:

I was so worried about my senior moments that I bought some Ginkgo Biloba tablets that are supposed to help with your memory.....................can somebody please give me some ideas about how I am supposed to remember to take them. I bought them weeks ago and so far I have only managed to take about three or four of them, I think.

Thanks Amiguru, I am going to use that virus as an excuse from now on.
