| | Just One of Those Photos Hi all
Sorry for putting thread in The Treehouse, but didn't know where else to put it! This is along similar lines to the brilliant 'funny photo' thread, but it's more like the 'I wish I'd seen that when I took this shot' section .
In my quest to get a half-decent shot of birds in flight, I completely forgot about background when I took this one:
Looks more like an impaled kite rather than a flying one !
Please make me feel better - tell me you've taken pictures like this as well !!

It's a really clear picture of the bird, so I wouldn't worry about the background.

| | | Re: Just One of Those Photos I see what you mean! Never mind it is a better photo of a kite than the ones I have taken so far!
As mentioned above if you have photoshop you can dispose of the pole painlessly!!
I am pleased to see you are enjoying the 'funny photo' thread and it is amazing how many people have joined in and given us all a good laugh

I'm with the others - that's a smashing photo which is only slightly let down by the background. It would definitely be worth having a go at cloning it out.

I like the idea of a bird on a stick tho - lol !
Yes TBR it was taken at the Hawk Conservancy - they've improved the seating so you're sitting on the same hillside (more of a large mound really!) that the falconers stand on. You get a brilliant view of the birds in flight - especially the perergrine falcon, which flies so close you hear the swish as it passes!

Duncan, | Hi Duncan, I did it on the laptop, which had Photoshop Elements 5.0 preloaded and it is very, very easy to remove poles etc. especially against a uniform coloured background. I have Photoshop CS2 on the other computer but find myself using Elements more often than not.
Good Luck |

| | | Re: Just One of Those Photos I have recently noticed that I caught a swan flying from the mast of a boat in the photo below It wasn't till I decided to post the photo on WAB that I noticed I had even got a swan in the view but I have decided it adds to the view so I will not take anything out

Takes me all my time to make my own look good Cloning isn't difficult Kayleigh, especially against an even coloured background, it's when the background is busy that it gets tricky, but still doable if you zoom in and take your time. Give it a go
