| | | Fundraising Ideas I have been giving thought to some fundraising events. Such events would not only mean a chance for us to get together but also to provide funding for continuing the growth of the site and allowing us to put into practice some of the ideas that are voiced from time to time. We have 101 ideas for promotions at present, but they all cost money. What I would like essentially is to involve as many peolpe as possible so that everyone gets to join in the fun. Some of them are quite mischievious.
My initial thoughts were a couple of things that are close to my heart, and they are;
a charity parachute jump
the London Marathon
but I would love to hear any other activities that could be done, as a group, with a view to helping the site out.
I will personally look into the feasability of these ideas and would appreciate any other ideas be posted and any interest in them can be conveyed to me either by the thread or by PM.
Who fancies some fun? |

| | | Re: Fundraising Ideas IMO what we need is something so innovative and unusual that it makes the press. I mean sure its nice to raise funds but that is probably secondary to raising the profile of the site.
dont know what that something is off hand tho :thinking:
Fundraising wise has stu ever looked at applying for a grant, I would have thought that what WAB does would be ideal for HLF who are supposed to be awash with cash at present.
If WAB wants to go this way I would be happy to advise (done loads through work) but as I am sure you will appreciate I can't take it on myself as I am maxed out by the design work at present.
