Thank you all very much for your kind comments (and especially Ollie/Roger for starting this thread). It is really nice to feel part of the warm and friendly community that is WAB. WAB is the next best thing to actually being out there enjoying the nature of Britain.
Of course, my 'Commander' status is a bit of a fraud - if it wasn't for all my wrong answers on the 'Guess Who' thread I'd still be an 'Active Member'! It seems like a whole load of us have become Commanders recently (and I guess Kayleigh's 2000 posts makes her a 'Two star' Commander), so I'm looking forward to meeting the others at the grand investiture in Buckingham Palace in a few weeks!
Seriously, I do hope to meet some you wonderful folk at a WAB meet sometime. It would be nice to see you in the real world rather than just in cyberspace. |
