Being Nosey Again !!!

Just curious as to what zodiac signs you all were and what you think of astrology. Also if you use any methods of fortune telling or divination and associated things?

I've got five planets in pisces and rising in Gemini. I think star signs are only accurate if you are very precise with time of birth etc, otherwise they are just a bit of coffee house fun talk.

I do have a good set of pagan tarot cards which really work for me - have been accurate every time and the occasional reading i've done for friends has gone very well too. I think with anything like this though you've got to use something that you have an affinity with or they wont work well.

Well, I'm a Leo, and all that means to me is that I was born at the time of year where you're given the star sign 'Leo'

But Naomi, you're aware of my skepticism of such things I don't believe in the paranormal, nor the supernatural. As a firm Atheist, I believe in nothing other than science. Some could say that astrology is pure science, but once we apply the 'fortune telling' side or the 'tarot' side, in my eyes, it becomes another thing that I think we 'want' to believe and I sincerely think that many people lie to themselves as to the genuineness of such things.

Close enough but I've never been ambitious and don't believe in intuition either!

One thing that has exercise me in the past is that I actually would expect people born at the same time of year to share certain characteristics, at least in temperate zones: new-born babies get a wholly different start to life if they're born in deep mid-winter than if they're born in the warmth of summer. I would have thought this might lead to similarities of attitude - but apparently not. Unless someone hasn't done the research properly?

Gemini, and I have the classic 'butterfly mind (no not tiny butterfly brain)' of one.
I don't really believe in it, but read Johnathan Cainer in the Mail every morning. He seems reasonable enough.

I'm a Virgo (no jokes please !), and I don't generally believe in that sort of thing. However, somebody gave me a bookmark which had the main Virgo traits (good and bad) listed - oh dear, it was me to a tee !

So maybe there is something in this malarkey after all!

I'm a Capricorn, Libra rising, Taurus moon. I was really interested in star signs for a while but as far as I could research although there may be some certain trends linked to astrological activity which I have yet to discount completely the usual star sign stuff you read in the paper is a load of old nonsense. I also have a couple of tarot packs but haven't used them for a long time.

I must admit to a fascination with looking at people's birth charts though, they really can be very interesting (even if only a work of fiction!).

I'm a Sagittarius. I don't believe what the "stars" in the papers say, but I think that the position of the stars and planets when you were born will play a part in your life somehow. I would love to get a proper reading done, with having all the correct details. Place, date and time of birth, the sidereal time, the rising sign, mid heaven sign and then the positions of all the planets.
Maybe one day, but in the mean time I along with one twelfth of the world according to a paper somewhere later this week I'm bound to have either a new person in my life, a change of job or come into money.

I'm apparently a Scorpio, although I think it's all a load of tripe!
Apparently the typical traits of a Scorpio are intense, strong-willed, secretive,
curious, deep thinker, vindictive, jealous, sullen, bitter, sarcastic & bad-tempered.
As far as I'm aware the only one I can relate to as being is deep thinker, (although my hubby may disagree!)
If I were the rest I think I'd be a pretty horrible person!

I have a set of Rider-Waite tarot cards in flemish, (used to live there). I have used them for a friend or two but shocked myself with accuracy and so now only use them to do mine annually. I believe we each have the answers to our own problems and think that we read into the pics on the cards what we already know anyway. phew !!
