Should we have a Chat Room?

Hi i was just wondering this as we can all get to know each other better if there was a chat room or a shout box thingy here

Just a thought though, would this be a good idea? look forward to hearing your views!

The whole forum is a chat room/diary/blog,have you actually read it?

Hi nightshade pleased to meet you.

I meant like an actual live one, for example MSN, FlashChat and Java chat rooms like Yahoo. That means we can chat to anyone who enters and it makes the forum have a more personal touch aswell

But if its difficult dont worry, i love the forum as it is at the moment

sorry flying red Fox If you allow people to chat you will get nothing in the forum, look how it all clique's up now, but at least it is entertaining to the rest of us

My personal opinion is that WAB doesn't need a live chat room. Apart from setting it all up and moderating it, I can't see where there would be any real benefit as an educational purpose. I think WAB is just fine as it is and I find it to be a very friendly and personal site as it is, with plenty to offer without a chat room.

Yes iam all fine with that Ollie and i agree with you, plus the aviation forum chat does have its downside aswell which wouldnt be good anyway.

This is my favourite site and i love the way it is at the moment

We have a chat room on another forum I am on and it is not used at all these days. When it was started we all went on there and it was fun for a while, but unless you can speed type, it is hard to keep up, and you also get others arriving from anywhere and you don't know who they are etc, lot of nutters out there. I think it would be good to have one if thats what people want, but I think it is more fun like it is (more time to think about my replies)............Jon
