Fungus Ken 1000

What is it with these fungus folk? They all seem to be reaching milestones!

Congratulations on becoming WAB's latest Commander!

Fungus Ken turns Commander...

Congrats on your 1000th post Ken and thanks again for all your help with fungi IDs! (Which reminds me, I've got a couple more I'm stumped with. I'll post 'em later - you deserve a night off! )

Re: Fungus Ken 1000

Congratulations Ken. In such a short space of time you have posted a wealth of information and advice especially on fungi. You also have a wicked sense of humour

If anyone is looking for a good book on fungi I suggest they don't bother! Just read Ken's posts ... It is all there

Many thanks Ken and keep up the excellent work ... Oh, and try to get out more too

These fungus-based celebrations seem to be mushrooming all over the place

Well done Ken

Re: Fungus Ken 1000

Thanks Pete, Dave, John and Jeff. It would have been a lot longer before I reached 1000 posts had it not been for my fractured leg. I doubt the 2000 milestone will be reached so quickly.

And I certainly intend to get out a lot more... just another two weeks with the cast on my leg and then I can have it off.

Ken

If there's one person that deserves commandership, it's our Ken All informative and excellently resourced posts. Your wise words of mycological knowledge have been invaluable to me, and I'm positive others feel the same.

Cheers pal,

Nick

Re: Fungus Ken 1000

Thanks everyone. I'm beginning to realise that it's not the length of your post that counts but the frequency with which you do it. Obviously the more often you do it, the more pleasure you can bring to more friends on WAB.

Ken

Almost right Nick. That would be:

PS - Yes, like this (as in Postscript)

PPS - and this... (as in Post-Postscript)

PPPS - I thought I saw one of these once (as in Post-Post-Postscript)

It comes of having a pernickety mind. I write something and then a short while later I think of something else I should have said so I add a bit on. And when I've just finished that something else occurs to me. It's easier to add another post than continually edit the original.

PS And in any case sometimes my post is so enormous that it wouldn't do just to keep stretching it out.

Thanks Stewy, but I think on WAB I would have to concede that I am just "a shroom dude" because there are lots of people with equal claims to that title.
