| | | How do you use WAB? I was just wondering. How do members use WAB?
I work from home a lot of the time, so these days I'm usually logged-in most of the day. I then have a quick look every now and again to see what's happening, or if a PM is sent to me, I can usually respond nearly straight away.
So who else is this addicted! Lol
Any comments? |

| | | Re: How do you use WAB? With me it depends on what shifts I am working, but I would say on average I spend at least 2/3 hours per day on WAB at varying times. I also usually manage the odd half hour or so when I am at work if everything is going ok.

I came across WAB by accident and have enjoyed it ever since .... and it just gets better.
All the guys behind the scenes do a great job and allow increasing numbers of us to share our enjoyment of the wildlife of our country.

Richard | And I'll third that Richard, without the backroom boys, none of us would be here!
So cheers to all of them, you are much appreciated |

| | | Re: How do you use WAB? Well here I am at 3.45 am nursing the worse sore throat I've ever had, so WAB is good for your health too as it's helping to take my mind off of it. So I use WAB as a medical cure now.

When I saw the seconds and thirds coming in, I thought you were also the beer pouring types like me !
Then I saw it was your support also for the guys behind the scenes .... well, let's raise a glass to them as well!

Pretty similar for me (you might have noticed!!) except I'm out in the field a lot too and not online then.
I think it's quite telling that my freeview box is broken it seems to be stuck thinking its the 11th of May and I only found this out last Friday night.......
So it's been that long since I watched any telly.....
and that's because I'm on here!!
It's probably a lot better for me to be on here.... |

I taped that David Attenborough programme that was on the other night, but haven't watched it yet. It's with the pile of other progs I've been meaning to watch! |

| | | Re: How do you use WAB? I spend much of every weekend in the field looking for new fungi. Then it's back home for a shower, good meal, a mass edit process and finally WAB washed down with a few drinks.
During the week at Uni I somehow get thrown into auto WAB mode which plays havoc with my workload. I think it's that feeling of missing something!
Back home I log in and it's usually well past midnight before I close WAB. I do fit other things in like ... err ... can I get back to you on that one.... Oh, I am writing a book, but very slowly.
Must also add ... There is always a friend online on WAB ... A real tonic
Finally, I think its more a case of abuse rather than use |

| | | Re: How do you use WAB? I'm in and out during the day gardening etc. and if time allows I log on and see what's been happening to all of you guys. So many different occupations and wildlife interests - it really expands your own interests and knowledge, so thanks everyone.
On behalf of the 'backroomers' thanks for the encouragement. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to a bit more of the text work soon, which never ends, but the research aspect and page building I really enjoy.
Thanks to all of you for the laughs you provide - even a wet day cannot spoil my enjoyment of being involved with WAB.
