Favourite animal films

I wonder if you have a favourite film featuring an animal.

My own choice would be The Belstone Fox - I'm reminded of it every time we travel down to Cornwall and pass by the sign for Belstone. The cunning ability of the Fox in the film to outwit the hunters was delightful and the scenery was beautiful. I can't recall the ending but that's OK, since I might get to see it again some time.

Erm.....................no. although it was a good film.

I think mine would have to be Tarka the Otter although as said already Ring of Bright Water is pretty good.

Gorillas in the mist - an absolutely brilliant film

I also like watching any film made by Steve Irwin purely because I want to see the silly *** loose a large lump of flesh to one of the poor reptiles he continuously torments !!

Re: Favourite animal films

I don't know really, if i could have animated films id say the Lion King definately, then films like the rescuers down under.
I always find films with real animals in a bit poor to be honest

I must agree with Carl and Mark .... Ring of Bright Water.

One of my favourite mammals (Otter) and one of my favourite locations (the West Highlands).

I think you need to keep on studying and take a few more exams .... you need to work out what a real animal is .

Talking donkey indeed!!!!!

Have you ever seen one? Perhaps you had better not answer that given the picture in your public profile!

BTW best of luck with your upcoming exam!

Well i like The Animals Of Farthing Wood, its a series and i really loved it, guess who my favourite character was? hehe i will let you guess!

Not sure how there could be blue foxes but there you go, was such a lovelly series, my favourite was series 1. series 2 was great aswell but series 3 had the animals in a different graphic.

I wish they made a series 4 but i guess they ended on a high, i really loved it

Yes Watership Down made me cry and i didnt know that some Rabbits could fight like that!

Re: Favourite animal films

Kes is one of my all time favorites (my daughter is also nicknamed Kes). Current favorite is March of the Penguins I have nothing but admiration for the penguins and the ordeal they go through to procreate and also for the film crew who spent a year on the ice with them

Re: Favourite animal films

The Belstone Fox is indeed a fantastic film, one of my favs too, along with Born Free and Kes.
By the way The Belstone Fox is available on vid, but has a very sad ending, if I recall.

Re: Favourite animal films

Now then, have to be in agreement with some that Shrek is a great film albeit doesn't feature real animals. Ice Age is great too, along with Finding Nemo and Shark's Tale.

It wasn't a film but does anyone remember 'Tales from the Riverbank?' Takes me back to my childhood, watching it on my Great Aunt's black and white telly!
