Question Blog Advice Please...?!

In about six weeks time my internet access will be very limited as I will be working on an organic farm and as a way of keeping in touch a bit - I though I'd try writing a blog. However not sure quite how to go about doing this and what sort of things people would want to hear about....Wildlife obviously but....! So any advice on how to write a good, interesting and humorous blog would be welcome please !!!

Nick Cantle might point out spell check?! Other than that I think you'll do fine! When your start Wwoofing join your local Libary for PC usage when you get some free time. Thats all I can give as I never considered writing a blog. All the best with it and i'm sure WAB being WAB you'll get good help swiftly.

Re: Blog Advice Please...?!

Don't count on too much time, farming takes all your life, and if it doesn't you aren't doing it right.

Many years, man boy and donkey (mainly donkey), I would not have not done it for the world.

You have only to say what you have done for it to be the most fascinating blog. Your experiences will be outside what so many do. I hope you have the greatest experience of your life, but why wouldn't you?

I think you will have to get there and find out what time you have and what sort of place you are in.

As to the practicalities, I think if you search for things like "Blogger" and so on, you will find that it can be quite easy. Just don't think that the first few weeks working will be a good time to find out!

I blooming envy you, work as hard as you think you can't and go for every opportunity.

Re: Blog Advice Please...?!

I run a blog alongside an on-line gallery web site. I use the blog purely to record what I did on the day, pretty much as a diary, accompanied by an image. This is completely apart from images I use on my web site. The beauty of blogging is that you will have a potential global audience for your own interests, and it's up to you what you want to write.

Re: Blog Advice Please...?!

Brilliant idea! and sounds really exciting... your job at the organic farm. Make sure you have a digital camera so you can show us what you are doing.

I've been doing my blog since October last year and I really enjoy writing it. I have also made loads of "blogger" friends. Basically you just write about anything and everything. Mine is just based on wildlife around my house/village but there are all sorts of blogs out there.

One of my favorites about organic farms is Locks Park Farm written by Paula. It's probably one of the first blogs I ever read, and I avidly read it every time Paula writes something. She is very truthful and straight... I've even been in tears at times. Especially when her dog was run over...

Let us all know your blog name, it will be fun reading about your adventures!
