Smile Eostar is nearly here

With Eostar not far away I was interested in any traditional ways that you may be spending it...be they Christian, Pagan or those of unknown origin...

Traditionally it's a time for sweeping out the unwanted aspects of life and welcoming in the new and many people still dance in the sun, on the equinox, to celebrate this.

As my new life is beginning in pastures new, shortly after Eostar, I shall be doing just that...not quite sure what the neighbours will think though I think I might also make some marzipan eggs covered in dark, organic chocolate.

Re: Eostar is nearly here

Also a good time for planting seeds etc. I shall be cooking my Colcannon and making up a batch of 'cookies' that my family devour like they are going to suddenly melt if not eaten immediately. It's a lovely time of year Pagan, Christian or whatever new life coming and new projects. It's my favourite.Fi. X X X X

I laughed when I saw the title. I laughed more when I thought it was a typo. I laughed even more when I saw the author, and then I shut up when I realised it was real

Re: Eostar is nearly here

Vernal equinox - 21st March Think it moves a bit but wiccans traditionally celebrate it on 21st.

Re: Eostar is nearly here

Now if I had Rae Beths book still I'd would have known this! Thanks I'll put it in calender and get a stick out, disguise it with birch to make it look like a broom (just like the days of ole) and do some some sweeping perhaps like that of boogaloo Shrimp. Can you magic me some of those eggs over they sound moreish!

I hope your not going to add any thing Witchy like slugs, henbane, Motorway Souvenirs or De Burgh?!

She's my favourite author of things Wicca Cause I can - might even magic you over one in the shape of an Easter bunny too - or should that be Oestara hare?! Found a new recipe for marzipan the other day; that i might give a try

I'll plant my Vipers Bugloss seed I've got from last year now that things are slightly warming up i'll pop them in the Fridge until then! I remember when in care my brothers foster parents painted stones in the form of lady birds, gave there children and my to young bro's hours of fun and quiet. New projects again is going to be the gardening- doing away with the wildflower herbaceous borders next to the front of the house and replacing it with a Heavy soil Meadow 1m x 10m so nothing to demanding there. Happy Hols Aestarte thanks for the inspiration
