Not near as much as 5mm between the surface of the water and the bottom of your waders!

They say you dont notice the cold after the first 20 seconds!! |

Fortunately the brook wasnt very deep so I just sat there like a large, sub aquatic budha, until my stalwart colleagues stopped laughing and pulled me out.

That is the funniest thing I've heard all day!!!!! shouldn't laugh because Im very likely to do something similar today!!!
I've also heard that chest waders are the best for escaping quicksand too but I don't think I'll try that just yet!!! |

| | | Re: TASK for the week I should point out that I am neither large nor buhda like normally, it was the water bloating the waders that gave that impression, you understand :-)
I really must stop falling out of our boat, yesterday made it 3 times this financial year and 8 times in total, I am consquently on my 4th mobile phone and 3rd set of keys. but hey it provides entertainment for the masses.
I also once turned a floating hide over while photographing courting grebes, that wasnt funny at all as it cost me an Eos 30 and a 170-500 lens ( fortunately my flashtrax was in a watertight bag).
