Yes, I saw this article. Lions and tigers riding horses. Surely in this day and age international pressure could be brought upon China to stop this sort of cruelty, if only the political will was there to do it. Perhaps the most effective way would be if tourists decided to make a stand and not visit China.

Vince | I agree. With the olympic games being in China it's important tourists are made aware of the activities going on in these places which may take an increase in paying visitors around this time.

I hate the Chinese for this! They, and the Japs are so insensitive to all animal's feelings and just see them as commodities and to be treated as they please!

I have looked at all the links and although I'm not a squemish person I find those articals disgusting , to think that a country that is so advanced in technology and who want so badly to be part of the modern world, can still show a barbaric side such as that, I know that it is a large and expasive country, but I fear that the education of those who perpetrate atrocities such as those seen must be practically nil, Only local government can stop it , but then, they only act on orders from higher up, so it becomes normal spectator sport to them....

Just sickening and cruel,those poor horses must be terrified,a lion and tiger are all animals enemies,and they know it,so what did they do to those horses befor they got the act togeather,what i mean is i wonder how many horses got maimed trying to get the two animals to get togeather in the first place,we dont get to hear that though do we. |
