Yet when I was getting ready for work this morning a lovely card and a bunch of gorgeously fragrant flowers (hyacinths, daffs and something I don't know) appeared from nowhere!! I'm now feeling both spoilt rotton and terrible for not getting him anything.......
he's so lovely.....
I've promised to cook him whatever he wants for tea and I can rustle up a belated card but wish I could do something more.......... |

one of the girls in our office got 50 red roses delivered - which will have cost her fella 159 notes mind you I notice that the truly wealthy (or stupid, or both) can spend 500 notes on sending 100 roses with interflora - I think my young lady would not be pleased if I blew a third of a months salary on flowers (as i'm saving for a house deposit and wedding)
I wonder how much of that 500 quid makes it to the kenyan growers ? - not much I would suspect. ( I read somewhere that the growers in the third world get 12p per rose)

But when we met up after work he gave me a big kiss and suddenly I was showered in confetti made from hundreds of little pieces of paper, on each one he'd hand written Happy Valentine's Claire! x
All my colleagues thought it was so sweet - I was just surprised he's managed to spell valentine's right (I'm such an old romantic!)
p.s. and yes, he did pick them all up off the floor himself!

Came home to the naked chef, (yes literally !! apart from the apron ), he cooked steak, baked pots and salad, we drank far too much red wine in front of log fire with katie mellua album on and then he watched a girlie film with me. fab.
As for some of you lot, what a bunch of lovely romantics

| | | Re: What you doing for Valantines On sat, I was meant to take my gf to see Avenue Q, the british musuem and regents park to see the herons as a suprise. But the Show sold out and the british musuem was packed, but she did enjoy seeing the herons close up, and took lots of photos of the coots going berserk (even for coots!). She seemed to be satisfied and I got the life in cold blood book so im satisfied |
