| | | What toppings are you having on your pancakes?
Seeing as it is shrove Tuesday today I was just being nosey and wondering if anybody else is going to be cooking any pancakes tonight? If you are what toppings are you having?
We always have a variety of toppings the kids love toffee or maple but I stick to the traditional lemon and sugar.

We've already had ours!
The pancakes went a bit wrong so we ended up eating fried batter mix that was kinda lumpy instead of flat and round 
Still, it still tasted yummy with bananas and golden syrup

Be having ours around 5:30pm and it will be the traditional lemon and sugar topping for us. Like my pancakes nice and thick as well. The wife says I'm just a greedy so and so

We had pancakes yesterday and this morning for breakfast..with sliced banana inside, jam and lemon and sugar on the top ...topped with whipped cream..very Yummy.....

I'll be having the good old sugar with a dash of lemon, and it has to be jif in my eyes..............

I may try banana, yoghurt and a litlle shredded dark chocolate - depends I have just made a large curry and no one wants it except me!

Had Stewed apple pancakes last yr with a chocolate sauce..you could add a little ice cream on the side...

Has no one else had them for main course and pudding? Maybe we're just odd. We had pork stir fry wrapped in pancakes for main course and then pancakes with lemon and sugar for pud. It's only once a year so why not

Had mine with raisins soaked in rum, mixed leberally with fromage frais, spread on the pancake and rolled. . . . Unforgettable.

no we had for 2 courses. first up pan fried peppers, onions and garlic rolled and covered with a cheesy sauce and oven baked. followed by sweet pancakes covered with choc sauce or lemon and syrup. |

Thanks for all the replys.Some great suggestions for alternative toppings.I tried the savory fillings last year and nobody liked them.  .So we just stuck to sweet toppings this year,Toffee and chocolate was quite popular as was maple.
