head ache

I couldn't think of anywhere else to put this so here goes. I think Paul Chandler will be able to answer this. Yesterday me and my partner had blinding headaches, I'm talking the mother of all headaches. Now every year about this time usually around the last new moon of winter I always suffered mild headaches up to the changing of the season and then they went but never as bad as yesterday. Could this have been to do with the up and coming new moon. I know it's a random question but at least I can prepare for the next one if it is. Thanks. Fi.

I'd think it was unlikely, unless you were consistently getting headaches at each new moon... If you're ok the rest of the year, it's maybe more related to diet or exercise or something? It may be a mild form of SAD or something with the darkness this time of year.

If they're really bad, have a word with your GP - it might be something they can help you with.

If you have severe headaches with no obvious cause (such as Magners cider ) then you should certainly take medical advice and also consider environmental issues .....

Check your boiler too. Emmissions from a blocked flue can cause headaches-just a thought!
