| | | Google Earth Does anyone have any idea when the photos were taken for Google Earth? You can see my brother and sister in laws car clear as a bell but the car parked in my space has a sunroof and definitely is not mine. Could be the milkman?
Looked at my parents gaff but as they live in the sticks the picture is not good enough quality. Birmingham is fantastic though |

Same colour as my old car but with a sunroof. Actually I dont recognise too many of the motors but the construction is not that old, maybe five years, so the photos may have been just before I moved in. |

There are also lots of aerial view maps at Shoreham airport and again you can see their place there. I wouldn't have known their car though, they get through them at the rate of knots!
Didn't they do this aerial view of the UK just before the turn of the millenium?

| | | Re: Google Earth You are correct it is a good resource. Apparently there are nutters out there who spend their day trying to locate specific large articles such as the QE2, aircraft carriers etc. Someone told me there was a competition to see who could find specific targets first. |

| | | Re: Google Earth Oh hang on I'm looking at google earth not google maps, my useless ex husband's gorgeous pink beach buggy is parked on the drive so the photo there is at least two-three years old.
Brilliant they caught Gloucester docks just as the swing bridge is up in the air to let a boat through, that's great! |

| | | Re: Google Earth I rarely went out in Cheltenham as was working within the rave scene with James Perkins, Gideon Dawson, Chris Griffin (some names you may know?) and was away all weekend with them at parties all across the UK. But I used to drink mostly on Montpelier when I went out in Cheltenham. I also worked in Cirencester for a while and did like the country pubs too when my friends came over. The Frogmill I think one was called, on the A40 and a really beautiful place just out of Cheltenham towards Cirecester in the stix somewhere I cant recall the name of it. I liked it down there alot. |

The frogmill is indeed just off of the A40 my sister had her reception there. There's a lot of good pubs around here actually - plenty to choose from!!! |

| | | Re: Google Earth Yep I have to admit that most of our local drinking was in the stix. Just totally different from travelling all over the country to different clubs and parties, as was my average weekend. I also worked for Universe who were the first company to cross that rave / Glasto divide. 30,000 in a field with a mixture of genres. But also enjoyed the likes of Lechlade and Castlemorton. Full on travellers parties but massive scale 25k at Lechlade and 30k at Castlemorton. Because of these do's I got out of the commercial side and just did the travellers parties down on Chobham Common, the A47 in Leicestershire, Wakeley Wood, various quarries. Fantastic and still do them occasionally. Liked some cool warehouse parties in the east end last year. Proper trespassing do's. A generator, set of decks and 2,000 partygoers. Different standard. |
