| | | Ollie (Roger) Hi when I joined WAB in February this year I joined with the user name Ollie. Since I have got to know a lot of you better in Particular Graham (glsammy) Mattxyz, and I think I can also count Barbara and CB (Cherrybee) and a few others as well.
To get to the point there are few of you that know my real name is Roger. When I am replying to posts or gallery comments I find myself having to think which name to use and to save me the bother of thinking I shall now use Roger in any posts I make. Please anyone feel free to call me Roger, although I shall leave my user name as Ollie.
By the way the reason I chose Ollie was because when I signed up for WAB, Ollie one of our cats was sat at the side of me, and I just thought that name will do, nice and short and easy to remember.
Cheers

Roger. | Well mine I picked for my first ever sign in name on the web and have kept it ever since.Sometimes I have to vary it like cherrybee1 or similar. My nickname when I was a very young child was Cherry given to me by my late auntie, as when I was born she said I was a Cherry cos my nose was all red
When I used to play darts with the team made up of mostly my sisters we used to sing songs that fit with our name but as the song Charmaine was used so often I would have thumped them they sang cherrybaby which I shortened to cherryb then changed it to cherrybee as on one site cherryb was taken.Well my name is Charmain and please note my name is not spelt with an E on the end, my mother decided she liked the name but decided to leave off the E. I have spent the rest of my life telling people there is NO E on the end of my name
So fell free to call me Charmain if you wish or just CB I dont mind as long as you...........DONT WRITE AN E ON THE END!..

| | | Re: Ollie (Roger) It does seem odd to use an alias if you've been around peole for so long
I said over in the nickname's thread that I adopted May because my real name is Melanie and people automatically shorten it to Mel which I hate so to avoid that and as I never had a middle name, I adopted May!

| | | Re: Ollie (Roger) I have a problem. My real name is Winnie but somebody has used that as their sign in name. I see posts by Winnie and think "but I didn't write that". For me I feel it would be better to stick to my alias of wildone. It does have a meaning for me. My surname has been/is Fowler and Savage. What else could my alias be?

Roger. | When my new boss started everyone said that she was like tigger, then we decided to another member of the team was a wise owl and so on until some bright spark decided that I was like eeyore.

| | | Re: Ollie (Roger) Well I get called Tigger by most people in real life anyway (because I'm bouncy), but the name is usually already in use on forums, so I removed the E, thus spelling the name as Tigger himself does in the storys and then sign off with a kiss - Tiggrx |

I decided to use it because the world of ecological people is quite small and it's nice to bump into people through work that I already know through play!! If you don't use your name I won't know it's you and If I didn't use mine you wouldn't know it was me!!!
Or something..... |

I was suprised it hadn't been taken already - maybe there aren't as many Adams about as I thought there were!
