Six Nations score predictions,,,

Well in the interest of friendly banter I hereby offer my weekend score prediction,,

England will beat Wales 15 to 9 in a hard fought battle
Ireland will beat Italy by a short head despite Italy giving them an early scare..15 to 12
Scotland will lose to France in a close game they will lead at half time but France will get their act together and take the lead in the last quarter 9 points to 12.

Anyone else got a prediction ????

Andy

Re: Six Nations score predictions,,,

Aw go on then Andy...

Ireland to beat Italy, by around 15pts.
England(shire!) to beat Wales by about 20pts.

And... Hmmmmm....
As soon as we bring Chris.P. on, we may JUST beat France, by about 5 pts.

(I fear for us now though, like I said, on the original 6 nations thread, after reading Haddens first XV picks).

Doug

(ed - didn't let you down Andy!)

Very well played Wales; back to the drawing board England !

Very much a game of two halves with only one side determined to play for 80 minutes.

David

What a classic piece of rugby which lead to Ireland's first try against Italy and I thought England were going to follow suit in the first half against Wales!

Re: Six Nations score predictions,,,

Well, I can see that certain english people are bad losers

My other half came home, threw my welsh flag outside through the french windows and when I went out to retrieve it he locked me out in the garden shameful !! Got my revenge tho, it's on his log cabin balcony

Re: Six Nations score predictions,,,

I've got to say I've NEVER seen a more ridiculous game of rugby in my life.
And I've never seen England play so appallingly badly.
Complete capitulation from England, terrible decision making, horrible loopy passes to no-one, awful kicks (which were duly charged down), a complete lack of ambition and a total and utter panicky loss of steady heads.
Rudderless, leaderless - I'll give you any cliche you want!

Here's another.
Wales didn't win that game.
England lost it. They handed the game to England.

I don't agree that Wales played well. I apologise for that view in advance.
I think we (Scotland) would have beaten England today, I think Italy would have beaten England. I think Reading 2nd XV would have beaten England.

That all said, Waled DID hang on in there, and DID beat England (the overwhelming favourites) AT Twickenham - for the first time in twenty years.
They certainly "deserved" to win. Well, at least, if England had won, it would have been a calamity for the game, playing like that.

My fiancee is Welsh, so I can celebrate tonight!

I can only hope England do the same at Murrayfield in a few weeks time, though I suspect they simply won't be allowed to. Every player will have a rocket up his ..... this evening, and rightly so.

I'll walk away now, with a wry smile on my face (I do like it when England lose, even if I predicted a heavy English victory!).
More than that though, I'll walk away, shaking my head in utter disbelief, uttering the words "EH?", "HUH?" and "COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!" over and over again...

I have NO IDEA what our game tomorrow will bring now.
Maybe a 0-0 draw?
Anythings possible after what happened today!

Doug

Oh dear ... This evening is a time when I fear mi mate Doug has the opportunity to twist the knife and worse I fear that Scotland even in defeat can not play as miserably as England did today,,,

How could they throw the game as they Did,,,

Andy,,

Andy,,

I've only see one team play worse than that in all my years of five and six nations watching pal. Us (Scotland) against Italy, when we handed them THREE tries in as many minutes last year, and then chose to not kick any of our penalties for the rest of the game, eventually losing by 20 points.
Other than that, you are right - a miserable display from the cough cough "World Cup Finalists" yesterday.
I'd not worry though Andy - England cannot possibly play that badly again can they?
CAN THEY?!

(oh, in my post above yours Andy, I should have said : ENGLAND HANDED THE GAME TO WALES (NOT ENGLAND of course!!) - must have been the beer...

Re: Six Nations score predictions,,,

I have just seen another team play bad its Scotland they are just as well giving the ball to France whenever they get it,it will save them having to admit to how pathetiuc they are,I have seen the local school boys play better rugby.
Wales will hammer Scotland next week give the wooden spoon to Scotland now and we can watch something else on TV
