I was talking to someone in my local supermarket and several people were
earwigging,it was about hibernating bats which had been disturbed and had flown from their hibernaculem.
The response was suprising! I had more information about local bats in ten minutes than I had obtained in two years!!!!
I propose that anyone (with enough bottle) posts regular local wildlife news on their local supermarket notice board and if they have the time to spare stay around to listen/offer advice people are so interested (but bloody lazy)that anything that can reach joe public is worth a shot
