Re: Burns Night

Without advertising , there is a quite good vegetarian "haggis" (made, apparently, mainly from different sorts of lentils) available from Holland and B .. and other outlets. Goes down very well with my vegetarian family ... if only we could find the neeps ....

That normally goes into the sausages but for a couple of weeks each year it's redirected!

Re: Burns Night

Hi paul,

How can you possibly have a vegetarian haggis, If they run around mountains on two short and two long legs, I can't see an orange turnip doing that, it would fall over and roll downhill.

I did check some years ago and WE being English are the only country that calls a swede a turnip, or a turnip a swede.

Right, I'm off to my little turnip in the country, how many of you can remember who said that.

Max.

Well worth it Stewy.

Apart from the many recipes there's a few food related Broon's strips thrown in for good measure. Excellent
