| | | Re: Dead Horses I was given horse meat when in France some years back. A bit tough, but palateable. Somewhere in between beef and lamb tastewise. Which just proves everything doesn't taste like chicken.
Cheers,

i'm sorry if you were upset at my rant but horse welfare is a very emotive subject in our household.
our little horse was born with "wry nose" a condition that alters the shape of the mouth. we were advised that he may need to be put to sleep but we refused to let that happen. he is now 10 months old and fighting fit. he will outlast me.
once again, accept my apologies.

once again, accept my apologies. | That's ok Trampas45. Crossed wires. I hate cruelty to all animals and I know how abused horses and donkeys are in many countries. There were two gypsy ponies tied up in the middle of town yesterday. They looked a bit sorry for themselves, possibly could have done with a blanket on as were sweaty but otherwise ok. They had new shoes on and were friendly. Was more concerned that their owners were in the pub and would be riding in the traps down busy roads with no lights. Bit of a problem round here but police seem to turn blind eye.

have to go, my blood is now at boiling point.
thanks for the reply
