| | | New Places? Just wondering where (assuming there were no restrictions like ties, money and time etc) you would most like to go and why....and it can't be anywhere that you've been to before!
I think for me the islands around Scandinavia and anywhere there's waterfalls- I've a real love of islands and waterfalls so very hard to pick but would love to go there. Also the places i've not yet been to in Britain - the NE in general, Yorkshire and the Midlands (been through them all but never stopped!)

| | | Re: New Places? I've been fortunate enough to do a fair few hols around the world and northern Norway was my favourite place abroad.
I would dearly love to visit Antarctica one day, but best of all for me, you can't beat dear old Blighty (and the rest of the British Isles for that matter).

2. Orkney
3. New Zealand
4. America
5. Canada
The above would be just to go look see - because I had the money to do it (with that lottery win I'm unlikely to get as I don't do the lottery!)(Money stays in my pocket!! Even a pound a week is £52 a year not wasted!!)
For wildlife photography I think I would gently foray out into Europe, Sweden, Poland, France, Spain .......... cos I would like to see species that I know and get closer to them - which it seems is poss on the continent - less folk about and much more birds..........

I can believe that! The money to get there - and not being able to get our campervan there easily or cheaply is what stops us - one day maybe........ till then I will be happy if I keep managing my visits to the Western Isles - have been going there almost yearly since I first discovered it in 1990!! I love it to bits - have friends out there and if like last year I miss a visit, then I'm very depressed - but the bookings are sorted for this year and taking friends too and I'm so looking forward to it

I really wanted to visit Madhya Pradesh (Kipling Country) in central India not so long ago, and nearly took a job out there. Still do want to visit though...
Sri Lanka was another, but we will be honeymooning there this year, so thats brilliant!
Costa Rica or Nicaragua would be nice too...

Nope The other half won't let me untill the Children have flown the nest(four years tops). I have to do the Holidays with all the entertainment rubbish. Even though my children love wildlife they have not got my enthusiasm
It is all my fault though. Went to Rhodes to see the Valley of the Butterflies, that was supposed to be it. But i got carried away, and would Ramble and Snorkle for hours, they never saw me. So i have been banned for now.
Regards Christian. |

Pauline | I don't think taking the campervan over there isn't a problem anymore - I'm sure Suz said that (sadly as she was a character) the Ola is no more and the new ro-ro ones go over many times a day. Sounds like the costs gone up a bit since I went there last!!!
Enjoy the western Isles (not been there for years either - last visit was Islay in the early 90's!)
