| | | Re: Plans for 2008? Well I had plans to go to Morocco with my mate in September but it looks like it may have fallen through already.
I have no other plans in place but if it is confirmed that it is off then I may try for Poland in Spring.

| | | Re: Plans for 2008? I'm hoping to go up to Scotland for the 2nd time.
We visited a few years ago and fell in love with a remote glen called Glenlyon in Perthshire.
As it's my 30th next year I've persuaded the hubby to take me for an extra long holiday!

| | | Re: Plans for 2008? I'm hoping to - visit Canada to see friends and New York with my teenage children, (and see some of the Canadian wildlife hopefully!)
To have a week in the Scottish highlands seeing some of the wildlife - particularly hoping to see Pine Martens,
To do some birdwatching on the Norfolk and Suffolk coast,
And to spend more time out with my binoculars at the more local birding spots!
A very Happy New Year to everyone. |

| | | Re: Plans for 2008? Didn't mention at the end of my wwoofing - i hope to build my own house some where tranquil by the sea. That's why i'm doing to to learn those skills and to find out more about self sufficiency. Be nice to settle somewhere secluded and peaceful - need to learn the skills first! Got my eyes on Orkney - can't afford Cornwall - but am going to travel to areas not yet been to just to make absolutely sure!
Also i'm going to finish writing my book!

| | | Re: Plans for 2008? For me it will be spending as much quality time as possible with my children and trying to spot all kinds of wildlife, hopefully some new ones, that would be nice. I'll throw in some travelling for good measure as well.

| | | Re: Plans for 2008? Wow, some far off travels for some of you next year. I'm not planning on wandering around other climes, just hoping to make the most of taking photographs and practising my guitar during rare spare bits of time. Def intend to frequent cross trainer at least 4 times a week and cut out red wine for a while. Have lots of weight to lose

After Xmas Hols the local council planning dept and contractors are meeting with us to walk round the woods and discuss our plans and Aims and give the nod to get started on the work, I aim to start some of the clearing early in january so we can get it done before nesting starts.

| | | Re: Plans for 2008? The missus and I hope to travel down the west coast of Eire next summer. I want to visit the Skelligs and then get drunk in Kinsale.
It's also been a few years since I last heard a Nightingale and saw a Nightjar, so i'd like to experience these again too.
