| | | Nicknames Iv noticed many of us on WAB have nicknames and I just wondered how many of these came about?
Ill get the ball rolling…….
Iv got many nicknames, many of which I wont repeat here. Heehee
Heres some of mine.......I get called Khanage (as in carnage) a lot as my surname is Khan…Genghis is another of mine (oh dear)
Working in a male dominant environment there is lots of banter (which I love), and the guys are forever taking the Michael out of me..Infact one of the names they call me is ‘the rough old bird’ – which makes me laugh as im very polite and well-spoken, so I don’t really get that one lol
Anyway guys, id love to hear some of yours |

| | | Re: Nicknames When I was a nipper, dad used to call me Alibaba or Alibongo. When I was a bit older my friends called me Philbo (my surname's Phillips). I used to be called by some workmates BigAl - don't know whether it was me that was tall, or them that was short, but there could have been other reasons I suppose |

| | | Re: Nicknames Well when I was born my nose was red and my aunty called me cherry. It stuck as a nickname in my chilhood but died off when we moved at the age of 15.When I got a council house I found I was back in the street where I grew up tight next door to the family i used to live opposite and the daughter still calls me by my nickname altho she tends to shorten it.So when i had to choose my handle for signing in sites I chose cherrybee as there used to be a drink called cherryb and cherry was often taken

| | | Re: Nicknames Just before I was born and God asked me what kind of nose I wanted, I thought he said rose, so asked for a big red one. When he asked me what shape of head I wanted, I thought he said shed, so got a big square one |

| | | Re: Nicknames Boddie is a derivative of Body, as in The Body. Not only am I incredibly handsome but as a fitness fanatic I am extremely well honed. Subsequently a lot of ladies call me Body. I do however find this distressing, if not a little sexist, and, being rather shy and not wishing to advertise the fact that I am of an extremely high calibre and a very attractive proposition for the ladies, I thought it more prudent to just call myself Boddie. I also feel uneasy at times that ladies see me as an object of desire rather than someone with feelings, someone caring, thoughtful, sharing, and with so much love to give. I just hope that one day a rather special lady will see beneath my stunning facade and recognise that I am a swell guy and fun to be with. You read occasionally that certain celebs, Sienna Miller for example, never get approached by blokes as they believe that she is out of their league. Well I say join the club love. I have had this problem for years.

It has been glorious here for a while now. Also went to the Solent for a stag do at the weekend. Supposed to go sailing on Saturday but could not be woken and eventually rose at 5 p.m. somehow undressed. Can't imagine what the chambermaid made of me (no doubt had all of her mates in for a deckers too good girl) Needless to say I had had a bit of a large Friday night. Work is full on at the mo and I am preparing for a big job which sees me in theatre every day next week so I have been reading up on laparoscopic procedures during my spare time. I am really looking forward to it as I have never worked with these surgeons before. This weekend, more cycling and the final day of the Masters at the Belfry. Fantastic. |

Speaking of sleep, I need some. Catch you all later. | |
