New Year's Resolutions....

Its nearly that time of year to make Resolutions for the days weeks and months ahead...So here is mine..you can add as many as you wish...as im sure i will be back with others...

My kids want me to become even more of a taxi driver for them.....that's funny.

Mine is to be more friendly....

The old fat cat thinks it should be giving him fresh meat every day - rather than oh so stinky stuff!

To learn lots on my wwoofing trips, so that i can be self sufficient somewhere. Hmm - oh yes - not to be over enthusiastic in certain areas. To keep in contact with my friends and generally have fun!

i am not giving up anything,i smoke i drink ( not all the time i may add )i am 62 in febuary and have been the same for years, so for the years i have left i intend to enjoy them doing what i enjoy,touch wood, i am still fit and healthy,i have no cough even though i am a smoker,i do my own garden without help,in fact i run every thing in this house,even down to decorating,so while things are like they are i will not make any resolutions sorry.

To clear and cut up all credit cards, close my current account for good and sign up with an ethical bank who invest money in environmental and ecological sustainability and support animal welfare and human rights.

hi naturelover, you dont have to give anything up as such for a new years resolution, although thats what a lot of people seem to do. You could do something extra that you dont normally do.

I always make a few resolutions each year and generally keep them, although mine tend to be about things I want to do rather than things I want to give up!

Next year is for spending more time on me and my hobbies, making new friends and keeping in touch with the ones I have, and putting in some extra effort at work and furthering my job long term.

Also, I try to do something to help someone else every day or whenever possible, whether it be giving blood, doing voluntary work or just holding open a door for a mum with a pushchair.

Oh, and I also resolve to eat a little bit of chocolate or drink the odd glass of vino when I fancy it and laugh every day.

Well said, I too drink and smoke, am in my mid fifties and enjoy my life. I walk for miles every week and am fairly fit. Anyway who ever heard of anyone sticking to a new year's resolution (Whats the bet there are hundreds on here who have).

Hey I wouldn't want anyone thinking i'm a miss goody goody here!!

New Years resolutions stem from an old superstition that whatever you do when the bells chime - you'll be doing for the rest of the New Year! Which is why i'll be nattering to friends on the phone come midnight!
