| | | Re: What'd you all get? Like you really - I bought CDs or books or vouchers for everyone. Not much I really want except CDs. Books for me are a bit specialised (if they're on ecology or entomology no one is going to know what to buy me unless I tell them which rather undermines the whole exercise ) - but I got two good ones on sporting 'heroes' - Robert Miller (Britain's only spotted jersey winner in the Tour de France) and Brian Clough ...
... and a bottle of Akvavit so I'll raise my glass to you all tomorrow night! Quote:

oh and a pair of popeye socks .
happy new year to you all.
alan | That's what I want!! No, not the popeye socks, the Canon 400d.
I am happy with what I received though; lots of choccies, jewellery, bottles of wine, perfume, CDs, Rocky Horror on DVD, the book of The Nature of Britain by Alan Titchmarsh and a dragon twined through a skull.
As for drinks, I am pleased to say that nothing healthy has passed my lips all day long, it has just been coffee, red wine and liquers. Cheers!

| | | Re: What'd you all get? My Brother adopted me a Robbie the Robin at St Tiggywinkles. He can with a new letter of little story of how he ended up there. Caught by a cat, he was brought in with a with a broken wing and lots of scratches. A spilt was put on his wing and he is now recuperating, but will not be able to go back into the wild as he will never fly quite the same again. So it’s a lovely gift to know that he will be cared for at my favourite place.
I got Hoggie stuff too a mug and a calendar. And a great Birthday card with a lovely Hoggie in some daisies.
I got normal stuff too bubble bath etc.
