Dunc got a nice new camera, Fuji Finepix S5700,
Now all I have to do is to fathom out how to use it , then I'll hopefully be able to post some better photos to the gallery, we have had a great time over Christmas My son came down from Banbury, The wifes mother from Scotland and there was 18 sat round the table for dinner, my fingers are all shrivelled up from washing the dishes , the sons doing the drying up , it's been lovely,

I got a SLR digital camera with two macro buttons.
When Iv read the book and learned how to hold it still I will post some pics hopefully. |

i got a real cool wind up l.e.d torch thats quite bright and even has an output and adapters so it can charge a mobile phone with the wind up mechanism
got a few books - naturalists handbook to ladybirds and a big fungi i.d. book, oh and michael chinery's insects (the small domino field giude)
some great cd's from my wife and other members of family
the usual small pile of new socks and pants (much needed)
and a 1.4 kenko pro tc from my wife

I got a web cam! The battery is still on charge (can't plug it into the mains) so watch this space!

I got loads of aftershave, assorted smelly stuff and a new electric razor from my family - do you think they are trying to tell me something??
I also got the new Foo Fighters album, a cool shirt and a truck load of good stuff to eat and drink.
My parents gave me money which I spent today on a new Velbon Sherpa 600R tripod as my poor old Slik D2 has all but given up the ghost.

However being able to go on a 3 mile walk on Xmas day with my beloved and see the wildlife is a gift enough

As Sherlock. Gave nothing - received nothing. Just as I wanted! After enduring 50 xmas's the message is finally getting through! OH does buy for the kids and my parent's though - he just cannot be trained not to.
Here the similarity with Sherlock ends, I am afraid. I like my tipple(s!) and the 25th of December is no exception to the rule, one way or t'other!

We dont do Xmas as such But my two sons (15 & 18) sent me a Box of Thorton Alphabet Truffles and when i opened them to have one Each choclate has a letter on it and it spelt....
HAPPY XMAS MUM and STEVE..

Other family members on both sides gave me Money to get Tattoo Vouchers as I am having a Full Sleeve designed for me by my Tattooist... It is going to be a british nature scene,, which will include an Owl, Jay, Fox, Badger,grey squirrel and Hedgehog.. along with some plants, Insects and Butterflies etc..I am meeting with him after New year to discuss what he has designed and arrange a start date

i got a canon 400d, camera bag and 2 gb card, then went and treated myself to a 70-300 usm lens, photoshop for dummies book, digital photography for dummies book. swiss army knife.
lots of other bits and bobs.
oh and a pair of popeye socks .

My son's helicopter broken too - tail propeller (his sister did her usual trick, if it has a chip, wreck it). Replacement sent for .... this time trying double blades and my daughter is going to pay - boy is she going pay! |

My son's helicopter broke as well! Took it back, got a refund. Now bought a similar one from Argos as Curry's had sold out. |
