... where would you rather be over the 'festive' season ... okay, out looking at wildlife or watching a football match. I think it should be compulsory for games to be played throughout the holiday. This would either get us out into the fresh air or would give us something vaguely interesting to watch on TV? I vaguely remember, in my boyhood, that football matches (in what is now the Conference) were played on Christmas Day.

So a question - when was top Division football last played on Xmas day?

Until a couple years ago when there was a large astro turf nearby with lights my four sons and alot of others (around 30-40) used to play a good three or four hours footy on xmas day, those were the days
