| | | Home for Christmas... Hey guys,
Thought you might like to know that I am now back home in Norfolk for Christmas I've had an absolutely amazing three months away from home, in which time I've settled into Uni, made some amazing friends and got together with two of my favourite WAB chaps for a stroll in the forests and a pint (Or three ) It's lovely to be home and with the family again and I've already been out strolling this morning gathering the remains of the Cow Parsley and Sweet Cicely roots to pop in my vegetable soup for tea I've been taking loads of photos and just been generally appreciating 'home' again...I have to say though, I miss Surrey and Hampshire dearly!!! Three weeks home for Christmas is a perfect duration as It gives me the right amount of time to see family; but I am eager to see my friends from Uni already!
So from the Norfolk lad, Merry Christmas to you all...May you all have a joyous and cosy festive season...
A Foggy day at grove farm house

Glad you're safe at home with your family, give them all my regards. Hope you have a wonderful holiday and we''ll see you back down south in the New Year: I'll try and save you a bottle of Innis and Gunn to toast 2008. (I missed the Shrooms Xmas drinks cos i was over at Windsor baby sitting)
Cheers
David

I'll bring some I&G too, I can't pull myself away from the stuff...it's a very festive Ale, I find...mind you...it'll be a January ale, a February ale, a March ale, an April ale, a May ale, a June ale, a July ale, an August ale, a September ale, an October ale, a November ale AND a December ale
All the best to you down there

Nick | Thats a lovely picture Nick. I can understand what you mean about leaving friends and uni even tho its great to see family - but when its comes to a choice between Surry, Hampshire and Norfolk - I'd have no probs whatever - Norfolk - every time - Norfolk - what a splendid place to live .......... altho theres the New Forest of course - mustn't forget how attached I am to that part of the world too ......... then there's Suffolk and Minsmere just down the road ............ oh dear ............ choices, choices .......... you know when folk say what they'd do if they won the lottery (I don't do it but if I did and won) my idea of heaven would be ........... to have a new VW transporter custom rigged inside and out and then set off out around this fantastic country - just driving from county to county, month after month, wandering with a purpose to see our fabulous wildlife and get close enough to take pictures - now thats what I call a dream............... if they would give that up as the prize on x-factor I'd learn to sing
Have a lovely christmas

I never said anything about the husband accompanying me Betty..... and funnily enough he wouldn't want to.... his dream would be to buy land at Witherslack and customn build a bungalow, a Badger sett and a doubleglazed carpeted, heated comfy seated hide, with portions of glass floor to watch the Badgers in the sett and finally a large carp lake - again with a reinforced partially plate glass end retaining wall - so he could watch the carp................... while I - smiling beautifully - wander the country dressed in a camouflaged kaftan......... heh! heh! heh!
And some folk want a new car and house
