| | | Cannock Chase Hi All
Not been posting for a few weeks now has the company seems to have me working away all the time all over the place at the mo..
But at this moment in time we are up near Stafford and travelling to Rugeley every day. One of the two routes we take is accross Cannock Chase. We are doing this trip at around 7 in the morning and 7 in the evening. So far we have seen a few Stags and lots of deer. One stag crossed the road in front of us and then turned around and stood his ground and gave us the stare...
This is a lovely part of the country that i didn't even know exsisted.. I wish I had brought the camera and big Lense with me.. Mind you good job I didn't, probably wouldn't make it to work.
It got me to thinking... How many people drive by oblivious to the wildlife that is just metres from then every day..
The ignorance of Man..
Any way thats enought of my mindless rantings. Hotel rooms can drive you crazy..

| | | Re: Cannock Chase I think the majority of people are in too much of a hurry to realise how much is out there.
Most of them are in a rush to and from work.
I go on a residential most years with junior school children and they are amazed when their eyes are opened to what is actually around them.
To start off with they are unimpressed when walking through fields. The only way I could get them to look was to ask them to find creatures for me to photograph. (Childrens eyes are so much better at this). I was more interested in birds but through them I am now hooked on insects too. |

| | | Re: Cannock Chase All too many. Unfortunately the majority of humans have become very materialistic and in their efforts to feed this bad habit they have to work longer and harder, so much so that they no longer go at human pace but at machine pace and it's now not so much that they don't have time to see it but that its become more or less oblivious to them.

| | | Re: Cannock Chase I would say 90% of the people either don't care or don't know or are too busy. I live about 2 minutes from Hartshill Hayes CP and the amount of folks I see walking thru there head down blazzing thru or nattering to someone else completely oblivious to whats happening around them. There could be naked fairies cavorting an they would mis them
still it give me more time to see things I guess so not all bad.
