| | | Busy again Yes
I logged on earlier and there was no-one else on. I wandered what the crack was?
Seems busier now though.
I have had a top weekend. Down to Cornwall to catch up with family. Some good walks and plenty of time to relax and read a good book. My head is sunburnt, as my hair (what there is of it) is short. The weather was fine and the walks were good too. Along the beaches, up in the cliffs and through some nice parks. Saw plenty of birds of prey, not sure which type as I am rubbish with birds. Bit disappointed with the rock pools, probably never looked in the right places but there did not seem to be as much going on as when I was a nipper. Oh well, a great weekend either way. |

| | | Re: Busy again Good to hear you had a great weekend Boddie, you should have worn a sun hat or improvised with a hankerchief (Don't know if thats how you spell the thing you use to blow your nose, spelling never was a strong point) Good exercise, good weather and plenty of birds. Who could ask for more.

| | | Re: Busy again Glad to hear u had a nice weekend in sunny Cornwall
Just recently got back from work, was flailing away the horse-rides at work today, felt a little guilty for mowing away the wild-flowers that were coming up. I was quite happy sitting on the sit-on flail mower for most of the day, only trouble now is I cant stop juddering
Nice to have u back with us Boddie |

Caught the sun a bit myself although it wasn't that warm.....creeps up on you when the wind is blowing a bit as well doesn't it.
Mostly did some birding with a nice Spoonbill to add to the list but had some lovely views of Foxes and Roe deer when out and about. |

| | | Re: Busy again Yep I saw a juvenile Fox too near some heath land and pointed it out to a couple walking who said that in all the time they had walked there they had never seen one, so I think they were pretty chuffed. There were two herons on a lake, one on the edge and the other flying about and I saw some sea birds with long snouts. I dont like the word beak so I call them snouts instead. I like snouts. Like pigs have. I also saw a seagull getting a piggy back off another seagull, which was funny.
I did read some good books. One called 'The boy who kicked pigs' by Tom Baker. Don't worry, they are piggy banks really but he does kick a bacon sandwich at one point and gets his cumuppance in the end - a horrible accident where he gets spiked. I am also reading now a good book by an author called Stephen Leather. I never read his books before but have to say it is very good.
As for my swede. I only rested to catch the sun for 10 minutes or so while I watched the Fox, but will take more care next time as it hurts now when I shower |

| | | Re: Busy again I think everybody has totally misread my intentions, which are always honourable. I am shocked, I really am. That you might read something into what was an innocent request is beyond me and I am perplexed at your combined insinuations, which seem to suggest some monkey business. How could you? How could I? mmmm |

I was trying to get a twee image of a baby bunny today, and about to jump over a fence when ol' farmer Parkin shouted out 'wouldn't go in there if I were you as he'll 'ave ya!' Pointing to a bull which must have weighed in at a good 2 ton I don't think a 'slap on the snout' would have worked for him! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | |
