| | | Going Abroad I'm going to Kington, in deepest Herefordshire, for a few days from tomorrow. Apart from Gigrin, I've got a couple of places lined up for a visit.
Titley Pool (exp201 SO325595) and Brilley Green Dingle (Exp 201 SO271488).
Anyone any knowledge of these or any other places worth a visit, within the Kington environ ?

| | | Re: Going Abroad Gigrin is excellent. There are hides there so you should be under cover. If you are keen on photography, there is a special hide that is higher than the rest and gives an excellent view point. You have to pay extra but it is well worth it for what is probably a one off experience. Take plenty of memory with you.
Enjoy

| | | Re: Going Abroad Gigrin looks like being a no, no. For a couple of reasons, not least being the weather! This morning, here in Kington its foggy, visiblity down to 200 yards.
Also my car as gone duff !!!! Break servo warning light came on, and stayed on, yesterday, so scrabbled around trying to find a local garage to have it checked. Most of 'em had no electricity yesterday, but its booked in for this morning. HiDs panicing 'cause we're supposed to be returning home on Friday, with a stop at the NEC, for the Christmas Gift Fair. I've told her its in the lap of the gods now. C'est la vie, init ?

| | | Re: Going Abroad Everything is Cox's Orange Pippin shaped now Jez.
Car was pluged into a fault finder thingy and found nothing wrong. The garage man says "Is yer oil level ok"? "Yep", says I, " 'twas the Servo light not the oil light that came on". "We'll check", says the nice man, "as that may have triggered the light". Oh dear, embarrassed faces all round; oil was just below minimum!! Oil topped up, light goes out. Smiling faces all round as ten beer tokens are exchanged for services rendered and promises to check the oil level physically and not rely on lights to indicate lowness (which it does n't do anyway, it works on the oil pressure not the level). Doh !! What a thing I am
Weather looks pretty good, so Gigrin will be on this afternoon, says he optimistically.
