Re: horses tails cut off.

I think we know now that there are some very weird people out there. All for what, just to save a few pounds.

Re: horses tails cut off.

This seems to be happening a lot in recent years and we have had our share of it in Scotland. At least the horses weren't damaged as some have been cut with knives, shot at etc. If caught the culprits should have their hair cut off.

Re: horses tails cut off.

I'd like to lock them in a stable with a frisky stallion - would be a pretty sight after.

I notice they always prey on the quiet docile animals and as you say Naturelover greed is what causes it.

I can only hope they are caught due to their greed as there can not be too many requiring horse hair for rocking horses.

Carol.

Re: horses tails cut off.

It's sick but happening more and more. Just as sad is the fact that these horses are now too nervous to be ridden. Terrible!

Re: horses tails cut off.

I'm not racist or pointing the finger, but some imigrants have been up to some strange things in the recent years, like the Swans that they killed and farmed fish they stole. In there country it might not be seen as that unusual to do that sort of thing. Perhaps it's one of those things. I feel so bad for the horse victims.

Re: horses tails cut off.

Was it just the hair taken? They wern't maimed?
It used to be the fashion to dock horses tails... I'm not sure if they cut the boney part like dogs tails or just the hair.
Anyway, pretty mean thing to do.

Hate fashionable docking of anything. Thankfully docking in dogs now illegal except for certain working dogs. Anyway will leave it there, don't want to hijack the thread.
