Morning Walk

It's amazing how many birds you see on frosty mornings, I had to post these pictures of the bird table on the main path of the Yarrow Valley Park, Lancashire. Some one had put the fat ball on and the birds were feasting.
The Nuthatch is an occasional visitor to the table but it was trying to defend all borders.



The Robin was soon on the table.



This was the treat of the morning - the Reed Bunting giving me the "what are you looking at" pose, never seen one near the table before.



A lovely walk with views of the Kingfisher, Heron & Dipper.

Lovely photos. I've never seen a Nuthatch so I'm jealous, come to think of it, never seen a Reed Bunting either. Hey is that one of my Robins ? All mine have gone , Where to I don't know, terrible, after all they were fed well.

I too love going out on a frosty morning as it is usually a sign of a good day. We have Robins and Tits coming out of our ears up here but I have noticed a lack of Starlings, which is really unusual as they used to come into the garden in flocks.
I think they have all flown south to audition for Autumnwatch
