has anyone seen hem in the wilderness of britain?
They were pets originally... so in probability escaped or released into the wild.

Not arf! Can't move for the blooming things round here (north west Kent, London Borough of Bexley). They are becoming very nearly as common as magpies and are just as noisy or possibly more so.

I'm no expert in these things but surely they must be having an impact on native birds - competition for food, nest sites etc.?

I've seen the odd one or two in Colchester. There are loads around the Thames area in South West London.

There common in ken gardens and hyde park in London. In Richmond last week all I could hear all day was them flying over squarking away. I still find it surreal thou!

Several thousand roost at Esher Rugby club (not in Esher but just south of the QEII reservoir), It is something to see.
