| | | WAB Festival Wouldn't it be great if all members of WAB where able to meet up in person one day. A bit like Glastonbury but all for wildlife stuff. Tent city, the works. What about it Stu? Have you a good size back garden?

| | | Re: WAB Festival Unfortunately my garden is about as big as the inside of a standard family car so I won't be able to host a get together ... hehe
Maybe one of the bigger game or agricultural fairs would be a good venue? If anyone's off to one we should post on here and arrange a soiree at the beer tent perhaps |

Is it legal to camp in large numbers on common land?

I do like the idea it would could get valuable publicity for the site as well as finally seeing "what the Archers" look like in real life

| | | Re: WAB Festival Not wanting to throw a spanner in the works, but WAB meetings don't exactly set any record attendance figures for wildlife biased days out.
I've thoroughly enjoyed the ones I have attended, and intend to do many more of them, assuming I can fit it into my schedule.
Why don't we push for a visit to a centrally positioned Nature Reserve (Clumber Park, Rutland Water, Carsington Res. to name a few?) and all enjoy what we enjoy doing:
watching wildlife, taking photo's, talking about both subjects and eating?
The problem is usually the organisation of these things, and somebody needs to own it and follow it through. (Due to some difficult personal circumstances I'm not able to volunteer for this task at the moment!)
