| | | Anyone see new Ch5 prog "Will work for nuts" last night? Really amusing and interesting programme. They did a bee race, using honey bees and timing how quickly they returned from a release point 3 miles away. Showed how goldfish do have a memory - trained them to push a ball into a goal, and finally did some squirrel fishing - catching a grey squirrel with a peanut on a string and trying to lift it off the ground. Did find this a little alarming as might start a new craze.
Next week they are racing a Peregrine on a motorcycle (the presenters on the bike that is, not the bird!). |

For next week, my money is on the Peregrine. I bet the presenter can barely ride the motorbike.

Lots of urban squirrels are really humanised and will eat sandwich out of your hand. I'm told the Hyde Park ones even give you a nip if you won't let them have any! |
