It's good fun watching them either speed up as you level with them or realise afterwards that they've been undertaken and suddenly locate the inside lane
Oh and (this one is gonna get me shot but) flippin women who drive 4x4's but don't seem to have any concept of the width of their vehicle and ignore white line lane markings. Honestly - they should be made to drive smart cars for the rest of eternity! |

COLOR] | Becareful purple pixie, with the number of cameras about it will only be a matter of time before you are caught, the police take a very grim view of undertaking. Far better, I think, to pull out from the slow lane fly accross behind them overtake in the fast lane and then fly accross in front of them back into the slow lane. Also made more effective if you have your headlights on.

The indicator comes on a fraction of a second AFTER they have pulled out

| | | Re: Pet hates, peeves, and bugbears! cars that sit in traffic in the cycle lane,
harmful chemicals in shampoo, conditioner, washing up liquid, food, cosmetics, toothpaste, drinks, to name a few. Natural is the way forward.
disposable nappies - whats wrong with washing and reusing cloth ones like my mum did.
fake tan and sunbeds - it makes me laugh when i see orange people who definatly have gone a bit too far on this one.
society's or should i say the media's?? perception of beauty as stick thin and plastered in make up. Magazines portraying this as something to strive to look like, and many young and old do. Eating disorders are increasing, especially amongst the young and seems to be getting hold of girls at even younger ages. |

| | Re: Pet hates, peeves, and bugbears! Ahem...pet peeves. I have been thinking on this, and this is my definitive top ten pet peeves and bugbears....
1. Middle Lane Hoggers...take the executive car sat at the same speed as the HGV in the inside lane and impeding my ability to drive at the 70mph I am accustomed to travelling on the motorways.
2. People who tuck their tracksuit bottoms into their socks. I do not understand this bizarre practice
3. People who tie their dog's doo doo bags to trees, thus allowing it to fester in an almost anaerobic environment and become horrible slimey stuff, which then leaks through the holes in the bag. Yuck.
4. People with bass boxes that you can hear coming from a mile away, and as they go past you your teeth start to rattle.
5. Walkers who suffer from the 'I'm not walking on the footpath, I'm walking wherever I want to and no-one is going to tell me otherwise' variety.
6. Pointless reality TV - for example Big Brother, Hell's Kitchen, X-Factor, The Osbournes.
7. People who ask me a question, which I then answer, and who then disagree with me and spend a not inconsiderable amount of time trying to convince me that I am in fact wrong. Why ask me in the first place?!?
8. Old people...now I'm going to qualify this. I don't mean all old people. I mean nasty old people. For example - I was on the train the other day and there was a little old lady stood near me. Having been brought up properly I offered my seat to the old lady, who told me that no she didn't want my seat, why should she, she was capable of standing thank you very much and shame on me for being patronising and assuming that she would want it. That told me, I went and sat back down feeling absolutely awful about offering my seat to the old lady.
9. Children (or indeed adults) who push the button at a pedestrian crossing and then walk off. Grrrr...How annoying for me as I am now stuck at the empty crossing watching the culprit waltz off sniggering having unneccessarily delayed me.
and finally....
10. Birders who look down their noses at me because I have less expensive binoculars, a less than encyclopedic knowledge of all British Bird species, brightly coloured wellies and a stripey scarf instead of sludge coloured clothes and leica optics. Shame on me, but surely I have just as much right to enjoy the reserve?!?

Or step onto the crossing and continue a conversation deliberately taking their time to inconvenience the working people (that support them financially
more often than not)in a study of arrogant defiance (the poor dears)

Thats a bit strong?!
That looks like you think that people who cross the road at pedestrian crossings are layabouts with no intention of getting a job, and all motorists are the workers?!
Have I missed something here?!

Litter - be it dog dirt, Chavdonald packages, coke cans - its the trademark of so many of the younger generation - it drives me mad - if you say anything to them you get a load of abuse - - they really are a waste of air
I know there are decent kids out there somewhere - I feel sorry for them - but are these careless chavs the generation we are trying to protect the environment for - do they know? do they even care???

It must be a tough time for decent kids these days - and I have a lot of respect for people like yourself who educate your children about the environment - my mam taught me all the names of flowers when I was about 3 and I still remember them! (and that was a long time ago )
What a shame these chavs seem to proliferate and worship so called 'celebrities' and aspire to 'WAGS' and 'chat' magazine rubbish - they should be forced to take responsibility for the damage they do to the environment - but its trendier to be wearing a playboy velour tracksuit and pushing a buggy than a pair of hiking boots and getting out and doing something for the environment.........

I am sooooo guilty of doing that as a child and a (drunk) adult!
