| | | Re: Pet hates, peeves, and bugbears! Present company excepted, of course, I hate people.....
People who are rude
People who drop litter
People who are disrespectful
Vandals
So-called "celebs"
People with mobile phones glued to their ear when they are walking round the supermarket (especially when they go through the checkout like that - disrespectful to the cashier!)
Able-bodied people who park in disabled spaces
Boy-racers
People disturbing others with loud music
Oh, I feel better after getting that off my chest.
Actually, I would happily become a hermit. I am happiest messing around alone in my garden with a camera.
One more thing that I hate - winter! Tonight I shall go into hibernation and talk to you all again when the clocks go forward again next March

2) lorries in the middle and fast lane of the motorway - if you're limited to 56mph you have no business anywhere but the slow lane

People who eat with there mouths open and make vile noises
People who can't say please & thankyou
litterers (plenty of those)
Dog walkers who are to wrapped with talking to who ever on mobile phones and the dog is standing in the road
Same with drivers & mobile phones
same with anyone who crosses roads to busy talking instead of looking

She works in a primary school, with a lot of problem families and their children and has to cope with it for 4 days of the week.
Personally HATE drivers who don't use thier indicaters!! They seem to think we are all telepathic. Drives me mad.
And people who whistle just for the sake of it. If you're gonna whistle, at least whistle a tune!!
That'll do for now, I'll probably think of some others!!!

| | | Re: Pet hates, peeves, and bugbears! Oh what joy! This thread couldn't have been better timed .
I've just got back from a day visiting friends in London, went on the coach. The trip down was fine, the visit was great, but coming back...
First of all, the coach was 45 minutes late. When it finally arrived, I found a seat to myself, so I tried to stretch out and catch some zeds, but... the seats were a new contoured type with ridges down the side, so I couldn't stretch out without my leg going numb... two seats forward of me sat a young girl with a loud and high pitched voice who chattered incessantly for the first half of the journey (fortunately, in a foreign language)... the bloke across the aisle from me had his Ipod thingy turned up to maximum - tssh tssh tssh, all the way home... and the bloke behind me had a stinking cold; he coughed, sneezed and snorted in my ear all the way up the A12.
I just know I'm going to start a cold tomorrow, and I just don't need it

If my house is that nice then they should take a photo and they can look any time they like!!

Improper use/lack of use of apostrophes. I'd love to go around with a permanent black marker pen.
Also, the Union Flag being flown upside down. I always get puzzled looks when I ask the offender if they really are in distress.

| | | Re: Pet hates, peeves, and bugbears! I hate it when you go for a walk, possibly with family or with a group, looking for wildlife, and people drag their whinging six year olds along who yell and scare everything away, or sit down and throw a wobbly and won't get up so everyone has to wait. Or, for example, when I went for a walk in a nature reserve recently, and my 12 year old brother was dragging his heels, poking me with sticks and complaining that he wanted to go home. When I was in Primary school, we went on a residentual trip each year and one thing we did was a night walk to look for animals, and I got so annoyed by all my peers chatting and making noise so we saw very little and the magic of the night-time was spoilt. |

Adam | Indeed I have! but I think most of the worst offenders are totally oblivious to it..I guess you have to be to keep on doing it right? ..I would have thought the thread alone would have made people stop and think but no no no...don't be daft...infact there is more of it in this thread than there is normally...now that's irony!..(or is it?..never quite understood irony).
Also...with regard the stationary (ery) i am guilty of often putting an A in definAtely. ...gets me every time...but at least I'm aware of it
