Hi from PAT

Hello all. I expect you have been wondering why I haven't posted recently, well I've had a lot of health problems, it started off with a bad back about 3 weeks ago and got to the stage where I could hardly walk because of the pain. I've been for xrays and had a blood test which showed that I've got too many red blood cells in my bone marrow so I've got to see a heamatologist next week and also have a scan, I've been told the possibilities the worst is leukemia or bone cancer but they are the worst! If only this awful pain would go! I'm on morphine based tablets at the moment but they're not working and they can't give me anything stronger until the diagnosis comes through. The thing that upsets me most is that I can't get out, I'm missing the spring and my dog walks, luckily I've got a good friend who's looking after my bird feeding station at the wood and feeding my foxes every night,( she's 91 but still insists it's no trouble to her because she lives next to the woods ).
Anyway I thought I would let you know what's happening because I didn't want you to think I'd lost interest in the site, ( it's been very painful just typing this ) I still have a quick look at the site every day but can't stay long because it's too painful to sit for any length of time. Anyway all the best to all of you. Enjoy the springtime. Pat

Re: Hi from PAT

Pat

I'm so very sorry to hear of your health problems. Constant pain can be so wearing, so let's hope they sort out what is wrong and can give you something to relieve the pain.

Hopefully it will not be too long before you can get out and enjoy the countryside even if it means having to do so from the car.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery

Winnie

As a member of the old crocks brigade I really sympathise with you Pat. I well remember my periods of constant pain, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I'll keep my fingers crossed that things will get better for you soon.

Hoping for the Best,

Graham.

Pat

I am very sorry to hear about your health problems .... I really hope you have some good news and recover soon.

It is such a shame that you can not get out and about now spring has finally arrived but I hope at least you will continue to enjoy the posts and photos on WAB.

Re: Hi from PAT

It's so kind of you all to send me all of these good wishes, I feel as if you've all been good friends for years Unfortunately I can't spend a lot of time at the computer looking at the posts because I find the pain unbearable when I get up out of the chair but being the most important site I look at I shall be looking in once a day at least. Thanks again all of you.
Pat.
