| | | Has Peak Oil Arrived? Reading this story this morning on the BBC, it looks like Peak Oil could be upon us? Quote:
Oil prices surged to a new record after an unexpected fall in US crude stockpiles added to fears over supplies for the winter months ahead.
US light sweet crude rose $3.36 to $90.46 a barrel by close of trade in New York, having traded as high as $90.60 earlier in the day.

It does look like we are there already, and to be honest - I can't wait. It's not just about people being less inclined to waste energy, but also about the options people having in their daily lives shifted back to a local scale, local shops and produce (although not oil of course!), and better for local economies and communities. Bring it on!
