Just curious as to why some people choose the picture they have as their avatar. Mine is me on my 18th birthday!! Looking too sober!!   (well the party I had the weekend after)

Mine is of our two dogs, Crumble and Piper, last Christmas. If I ever get a desent picture of a Water Vole I'll change it and use that until then it's the pups.

The Yellowhammer bird for mine was chosen because it was one of the first birds that I managed a decent photograph of and also because they are fairly common in my area.

As well as wildlife and the environment I have an interest in ancient Celtic culture and I make items from wood that the Celts beleived had various qualities.
My avatar represents the Sun, triple moon goddess and the pentagram that all have their roots in so called pagan mythology, its colourful and I like it.

Just a funky beetle I met while out walking one day in Spain.
I've got a bit bored of him now to be honest, and wanted to change it to one of two small moving gifs I have that make me laugh - still - but I'm not allowed to do it I feel cheated.
Wonder if I can insert them here somehow - hmm, no don't seem to be able to. Oh well, they're good, you'll just have to take my word for it.
