holiday

Hi folks.

From after 4pm on Friday I will be offline for two weeks. I am off to Norfolk to do some intensive birdwatching and photography (weather permitting).

I have also been having major problems with my PC so am taking the opportunity to leave my PC with a repair shop to see if they can sort it out. If I am back early enough I will pick up my PC on Saturday May 6th if not it will be on the 8th. This means I could be offline for just over two weeks.

Whilst I'm away don't do anything I wouldn't do and don't post anymore new threads, as I don't want to miss anything.

John

Have a good one for me John, and make sure you get a few rarities in - I don't doubt this in the least! What are you aiming for; Bittern's, Harrier's or even Oriole's maybe?

Don't worry. I have two battery chargers and 7 batteries. There is no way I am running out of charged batteries.

Bittern's, Marsh & Hen Harrier I have seen already this year. I will be checking out a Monty's site I know to see if they have turned up there this year. On my way into Norfolk I will be calling into a secret site I know for Stone Curlew (not Weeting Heath). Possibly try for Goshawk in the 2nd week and maybe Crossbill as well but apart from those whatever turns up near to me is what my targets will be.

I am not chasing anywhere near as much this year so rarities might not come my way. If they do it's a bonus. If I get to photograph them, better still.

John

As a ps. I may pop down to Minsmere on the Sunday. I would love to get a photo of a Dartford Warbler and they are resident on Dunwich Heath. There has also been a Shorelark present for a while at Minsmere and a photo of one of those wouldn't go amiss and now a Purple Heron is being reported there.

I don't know, let down already. I can see me coming back to another 2,000 new members, everyone becoming commanders and 1,000's of new posts. I think I will cancel my holiday after all --- not!!

John

Have a great break in the birdwatching mecca of Norfolk. I am sure you will catch up with some of the target species you mention.

When you return and retrieve your PC, it will not know what has hit it when you log in again to the backlog of messages in the forum and photos in the gallery.

However I am sure you will add both your own messages and photos to let us all know how your break went.

Enjoy!

Richard

Re: holiday

Cheers Rich

Hopefully I will have a bag full of photos to post and the odd little story that might interest the odd member or two.
