What did you wake up to this morning?

Well this is what I woke to.

It's beautiful isn't it?
Not dis-similar to what I woke up to but at the time I was more concerned that I was late for work than taking a photo!
Nice pics!

Re: What did you wake up to this morning?

Interesting that you should ask that question today. The sunrises over the last couple of weeks have been spectacular, but especially so this morning....

Here is one from last week....

Maybe they are always like this but it is only at this time of year that I notice them when I am getting up at the same time!

Radio 4 actually ....

I must say that there are some admirable pictures of sunrise and I really must try it sometime () - I'm more of a sunset type of person really!

Seriously, good pictures although I always find airplane vapour trails rather depressing - what was it like before we had them polluting the sky?

Re: What did you wake up to this morning?

This morning I woke up to, or rather I was awoken by, the very loud screeching of a Tawny Owl in the Sycamore tree at the front of the house.

I've heard it late at night a few times recently, but this was the first time I'd heard it early in the morning (very early for me, about 6am).

Sorry, I haven't got a beatiful picture to show you!

John, you are only about 70 miles from me as the crow flies and you can see that the cloud formation stretched that far. It was so beautiful wasn't it?

Paul, I don't live far from Heathrow as the crow (or should that be plane) flies, but the vapour trails each morning are stunning. It would be boring without them!

Re: What did you wake up to this morning?

Many thanks for your comments, Naturelover. Most people would think that it was touched up but that is how it came out of the camera. I only resized it.

Re: What did you wake up to this morning?

Yes, it was amazing.

But to my shock and horror, I seemed to be the only rubber necker on the whole motorway. Obviously not enough smashed cars for most
